You will have to practice on the track a couple of times to learn where to use your boost, but at some point you will find a groove that will allow you to make the most of your boost without wasting time due to respawns or crashes. For example, sharp curves, tight curves or short stretches with obstacles at the end. Some parts of a track are simply not suitable for boosting. Try to hit each of these in order to get the fastest time possible not counting your power ups. There are also green arrows that will accelerate your car as you pass over them.
Pink boosters will give you a free boost for a short period of time. There are two types of boosters in Time Trials and you need to hit both of them.
